About Me

Hi! I’m Meck and I’m a UX Researcher and designer. Early on in my career, I landed upon human-centered design through initiatives improving processes and services for people navigating healthcare services. I came across one project where I designed and tested health messages to ensure they were literacy-level appropriate for a refugee and immigrant community with varying degrees of health literacy and English proficiency. I utilized in-depth interviews with the community and iterative feedback loops which shaped our health communications toolkit for future studies. This health communication toolkit raised awareness of preventive care services and crystallized my career path towards meaningful design and research.

I tend to find inspiration through nature and gravitate towards earth and desert tones (similar to terracotta, blush, camel colors).

Outside of work, you will most likely find me doing a puzzle, reading books, playing tennis, doing crafts and spending time with my loved ones and friends.

I love an interior design project and will be moving soon to a new city, which means I’m excited to create an inviting and personable space! Stay tuned for my design journey on that :)
