About Me
Hi! I’m Meck and I’m a UX Researcher and designer. Early on in my career, I landed upon human-centered design through initiatives improving processes and services for people navigating healthcare services. I came across one project where I designed and tested health messages to ensure they were literacy-level appropriate for a refugee and immigrant community with varying degrees of health literacy and English proficiency. I utilized in-depth interviews with the community and iterative feedback loops which informed our health education toolkit for future studies and crystallized my career path towards meaningful design and research.
Outside of work, you will most likely find me doing a puzzle, traveling, reading books, playing tennis and spending time with my family and friends over food.
A peak into my interests and travels.
A snap along my hike on Roy’s peak in New Zealand. An appreciation for slower moments and a soft life.
I’ve always had an interest in creating cozy spaces that are representative of me. I’m proud of this coffee and tea bar with the peel and stick arch (still renting over here!) and added a wooden shelf.
I often find inspiration around buildings and architecture. I really liked this color combination between the yellow and pink and those cobblestone streets are so pretty! This was taken on a walk in Sweden.
Puzzles remind me that I can do hard things by creating order in chaos and seeing the outcome is very rewarding!
